Syria’s Military Criminal Court in Aleppo issued its first public verdicts Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, sentencing three of four defendants in connection with the deadly violence that erupted along the Syrian coast in March 2025. The rulings mark a significant milestone in a judicial process which has drawn national and international attention since public hearings began in November 2025.
