Cash-strapped Syria needs $831 million a month to purchase oil: energy minister Syria needs $831 million a month to purchase crude oil and petroleum products and is facing a significant gas supply shortfall, Syrian Energy Minister Mohammed al-Bashir said on Sunday.
Al-Bashir made the remarks during a briefing to Syria’s People’s Assembly in a session dedicated to reviewing the state of the energy sector, particularly petroleum products and rising fuel prices.
