Syrian Petroleum Company: Syria Imports 6 Million Cubic Meters of Gas Daily, Plans Four Power Plants by 2029 Welat TV – Erbil Syrian Petroleum Company CEO Youssef Qablawi said Syria imports around 6 million cubic meters of natural gas per day from Azerbaijan and Jordan, while domestic production stands at approximately 9 million cubic meters per day.
Reuters quoted Qablawi on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, as saying that Syria needs around 15 to 16 million cubic meters of gas per day to operate all of its existing power plants.
